Robsons-Farmer Second Thursday Lunch Group

The Second Thursday Lunch Group is open to all, and meets on the second Thursday of each month at 12:00 in the dining room.

Presentations are made by a variety of people who talk about their involvement in community activities, or about their personal history and travels. Please refer to the announcements in the calendar for information about guest speakers and topics.

  • Facilitator: Roger Rochester
  • Dates: The second Thursday of each month at 12:00 in the dining room.
  • Bring your lunch; coffee and tea are provided.

Jefferson Edits Bible

While working in the White House, President Jefferson set out to edit four gospels. He was so convinced the Bible’s true message was hidden that he cut up the pages and reedited it. He wanted to do away with the artificial stuff and restore the genuine doctrines. Some of the controversial changes were removing the virgin birth and the resurrection. He wanted the authentic message of Jesus, such as absolute love, forgiveness, and service rather than the miracle of annunciation.
