Adding/Submitting Events to the Church Web Calendar

Q: Can I add an event to the Church Calendar?

A: You can add events to the church calendar on the Calendar page only if you have special authorization from the Webmaster. However, anyone with a password for the website can submit an event using the form here (read more about this below).

The Webmaster has to add your profile to a list of authorized users in order for you to be able to add an event to the Church Calendar directly on the website. Three things must take place for you to receive authorization to add directly to the calendar:

  1. you must have a login name and password (in other words, be registered on the site);
  2. you must receive training from Karin and feel comfortable adding and editing your own calendar items; and
  3. it must be cleared with the Office Administrator, because she is the one primarily responsible for maintaining the Calendar.

Please note that you need the same permissions to edit an item on the Calendar as you do to add an item to the Calendar.

How to Submit an Item for Inclusion on the Calendar

Please note that submitting an item for inclusion on the Calendar is NOT the same thing as booking space at the church! Please This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it for all room rentals first. 474-1261

  1. Log in to the website.
  2. Use the Web Calendar Submission Form to submit your event details to the Church Office for inclusion on the Church Calendar. There is a link to this form in the Members' Menu.
  3. Be patient! Since a real live person actually manages the calendar, it may be several days before you see your event.

“We spend January 1 walking through our lives, room by room, drawing up a list of work to be done, cracks to be patched. Maybe this year, to balance the list, we ought to walk through the rooms of ...our lives... not looking for flaws, but for potential.”

~Ellen Goodman, Boston Globe columnist
