Hello, fellow sound people. Here are a few excellent points which we could use in our own sanctuary. As I always promote, the most important thing is to point the mic at your mouth. ~Karin
Not enough gain before feedback? Here is what you can do: (Listed in order of importance)
- Move mics closer to sources
- Move loud-speakers farther from microphones or move loud-speakers closer to listeners
- Reduce the number of open microphones
- Pull down sliders for microphones that are not currently in use
- Use directional microphones and loudspeaker
- Eliminate acoustic reflections near microphones
- Reduce room reverberation by acoustic treatment
- Use equalizers to reduce system gain at feedback frequencies
