Spring Summer Cleaning

Every August it seems the demands on my time as Webmaster ease up a bit, and I get around to some housecleaning. This year, I have been working on other projects at the church this summer: creating a Library Database, participating in a sound equipment inventory, sound reinforcement training and training materials... Let's just say it's been a busy summer! Here are some highlights:

Blogs

We now have a dedicated section for all the Blogs (under the Communications tab) on the site. There you will find:

• Rev. Millie Rochester's column "Riverside Reflections";
• Director of Religious Exploration Andrea James' blog;
• President Craig Edwards' monthly report;
• Notes from members of the Board of Directors;
• Site Updates/Webmaster Blog (that is, of course, what you are reading right now); and
• Property Development Updates.

Menus

The menus are getting an overhaul. Some basic site structure is changing, too, for example "Ministry" and "Worship" have been combined in the top tabs, and "Worship" and "Beliefs" combined as a sub-item. If you have certain pages bookmarked or you've sent links to pages to other people, they may not work. The Search box on the site does, and This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it if you are truly stumped. But the truth is, I'm trying to make things easier to find on the site, so look carefully in the menus — it's probably there somewhere.

The tabs at the top are now scrollable, and the whole top section will only appear on the Home page. Don't like this? Let me know! I always appreciate honest feedback.

UU Planet TV

I've embedded a link to UU Planet TV in the left column. Check it out and let me know what you think. One member of our congregation has mentioned that we should broadcast our services on television. Maybe this would be an intermediate step.

Photo Gallery

There is one photo gallery up. There will be more, eventually, but I'm still gathering pictures. I could sure use some of yours if you have some, even if they are a little dated. There will be historical galleries, too.
