Community News Area

There is an under-utilized area on our site called Community News, which is for members and friends of the church to publicize community activities and newsworthy events that may not fall completely under the banner of the church site. There is an ariticle there now about a happening choral festival coming up in May, organized by one of our former choir directors, Vic Hooper. Click here to visit Community News in a new window/tab. Or, you can look under the Communication tab, under the Community Link.

We Are 95 Strong

Looking over our site today, I see that we now have 95 people with log-ins set up (yay!), yet there are almost 50 who haven’t yet logged in (why not?).

So I thought it would be prudent to remind everyone what you can do with a log in, once you have one (and how to sign up for one if you don’t).

Once logged in to the website, you have access to:

  • The latest release of the Church Directory in PDF format (which is searchable!)
  • Board of Directors meeting minutes
  • Web Calendar new item submission form (to request an item be placed on the church calendar)
  • Web Link submission form (to add a link to the Web Links page)
  • Article submission form (to add content to the website such as an Announcement)
  • The ability to see "draft" articles that you have made and saved "for later" (if you get interrupted while composing)

What if I forget my password?

If you forget your password or log in (or both), click on the "Forgot your password/username" link(s) under the Login area, type your email address, and click the Submit button. Your password/username will be emailed to you.

The Website Help section of the website has a few articles you might find helpful about logins and creating articles for the website.

UU Bits and Bytes

Unitarians Come to America

Universalism came to America from England, where the old doctrine that all human beings would eventually be saved through Jesus Christ and join in harmony with God in heaven had finally become the central doctrine of a separate denomination.

Webside Pulpit

“When dying comes calling at the door, like a bracing wind it clears our being of pettiness. It connects us to others. More alert to life’s fragility, we reawaken to life’s preciousness. To be fully human is to care, and attending to death prompts the most eloquent form of caring imaginable.”
