Happy New Year to all of you within the First U.U. Church of Winnipeg and warm greetings from the Church Board!

This is an invitation for you to attend one or more of the following meetings to have an opportunity to discuss changes that are being proposed for our By-Laws. We have arranged to have four meetings, each hosted by two board members to ensure that people have the opportunity to discuss changes and share their ideas and concerns.

Meeting Times:

  • Jan. 8, 2012- 12:00 noon
  • Jan. 9, 2012- 7:00 pm at the church
  • Jan. 15, 2012- Following the church service
  • Jan. 24, 2012- 12:00 noon

Notes will be taken at each of these meetings, summarized and then a final draft of the By-Laws will be presented for a vote at a Congregational Meeting following the church service on February 26, 2012.

Please click here to access a copy of the By-Laws from October, 2011.
Please click here if you would like to access the copy with the tracked changes, to see the changes that were applied between the last two versions.

Peace,

Joan Carolyn

“I have an almost complete disregard of precedent, and a faith in the possibility of something better. It irritates me to be told how things have always been done. I defy the tyranny of precedent. I go for anything new that might improve the past.”

~ Clara Barton (born December 25, 1821)
